Have you ever tried to match a navy pant with a jacket bought at different stores? Then you get the issue with dye lots. As with any dyed wool, sometimes the dye lots don't exactly match later batches. It means your particular item is more unique and special because it is not likely to be reproduced again. Kind of cool to think you could own something no one else on the planet could have.
